Using Classroom Assessment - Practice Fair

Formative practices support standards-based instruction. The Transforming Students into Learners Institute (TSiL) focuses on classroom formative assessment practices which research has demonstrated help students become engaged in their own learning process. This Practice Fair provides a forum for practitioners to share and learn from each other in a facilitated setting. Collect ideas, feedback and artifacts from fellow practitioners.
This Practice Fair is open to those who have participated in TSiL institutes.

Transforming Students into Learners - Fall Institute

Given the rapid changes of the 21st century, it is no longer enough for students to leave school having learned a lot of content. Today’s students must also be able to learn, and be motivated to continue learning for the rest of their lives. This hands-on, how-to institute provides opportunities for educators to develop their classroom assessment practices in ways research has demonstrated help students become engaged in their own learning process and serve as the basis for standards-based instruction.
