Insanity is Worth the Soreness

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

The Insanity Workout program is an insane workout program that is worth every bit of soreness. There are 10 intense workouts that range from 45 minutes each to an hour. At first, many people stop the DVD and catch their breath so plan for longer workouts at first. Your stamina will increase as you get in better shape but Shaun T. is hard to keep up with, even for the people on the DVD exercising with him.

What makes Insanity such an insane workout program is Shaun T.’s take on interval training. Normally, interval training has a normal level of activity with short bursts of intense activity. The insane part is that with Insanity, you exercise at an intense level with only short breaks of less intenseĀ  activity. Be prepared to sweat, and be sore for at least several days as your body gets used to the level of exercise required unless you are already in peak physical condition.

Mental strength, determination, and a little bit of insanity is needed to get through this 60 day workout program. Don’t get me wrong, the program is worth every penny. It’s billed as an insane workout program, and that’s exactly what it is. You may feel sore in muscles you didn’t even know you had but but if you stick with the program, you should become extremely fit.
