Why There is a Need for Cord Blood Stem Cells Storing

The cord blood stem cells are very important because they can be used to treat many diseases.  Leukaemia, for example, is hard to cure and there is only one treatment option available when it has come to the final stage and that is through transplant.  Additionally, the stem cells should match with the receiver otherwise the body will reject them and therefore the treatment would become useless.  It is rather hard to find a matching donor, though.  You must find a donor that comes from the same race, or at least a mix of it.  For instance the stem cells from an African American donor might be suitable for a pure American receiver.

Perhaps it is too late to keep your own cord blood stem cells in the cord blood bank.  However, if you are pregnant or planning to conceive you should consider storing the stem cells in the appropriate cord blood bank.  If it happens that you or your child is diagnosed with leukaemia you’ll know that you already have the right specimen that can save your life.

Many lives can actually be saved with the presence of stem cells.  You will never know when you will need them.  Since they are so important everyone should realize that storing their cord blood is vital.  Even when they are perfectly healthy at the current moment, nobody can ever predict what would happen in the future.  At least you are getting ready in advance and you can protect your loved ones from suffering and even death.

Our lifestyle has gone through major changing along with the changes that happen in our surrounding. People who care about themselves would start looking back into a healthy lifestyle and not a lifestyle in trend at current moment. Healthy lifestyle didn’t just bring benefit for ourselves but also toward people around us such as spouse, family and friends. By taking this choice, it means one is thinking of self health and others. People tend to imitate what they saw and a healthy lifestyle should be one of it. There are several tips you might use to start your own healthy lifestyle.

Healthy lifestyle started with our intention to become better personally. Without our willingness to change ourselves, no matter what you do would failed. Intention has temporal nature, which is why it is important for us to remember reasons why we are doing it. Either for our self or for others closes with us. Remembering our aim is going to strengthened our intention in keeping a healthy lifestyle.

Reflect on yourselves. Start thinking what is bad for your health and what is not. People tend don’t want to think of something that they consider as a habit. Drinking 3 cup of coffee in the morning, smoking, dining at the fine restaurant every night, spending most our working time in front of the computer, all of those are our habit. We tend not to change it. But too much coffee could broken your liver, it give too much pressure for your heart. Smoking might damaged your lungs in the long term. If you think you can’t handle it by yourself, do not afraid to ask for help. Better be late than sorry.

Be Consistent. Being consistent is easy to say and hard to do. Consistent means you should stick to what you’re doing right now, directed to achieve your goals. Nothing should disturb you or distract you from the line you draw. Continuing a healthy life is hard if our surrounding is doing the opposite. One thing we could do which might help is start collecting friends who show a healthy lifestyle or moving into a healthy neighborhood.

Healthy lifestyle is something that comes through effort and hard work. It might be really hard at the very beginning. And you need to work hard to maintain it, repelled all distraction coming on your way. But once you got the hang of it, it will become one benefit that you can’t easily throw away.
